Yeah even as a Brighton fan I’d rather mckenna keep doing what he’s doing at Ipswich because that’s an awesome story. But also, go to Chelsea and get millions to get canned in less than 12 months, I’d do that too.

Taking time might mean he’s interested in the United job. Chelsea seemed to want to push it through quick and the United job won’t officially be available until after the weekend.

  3. He’s going to get dragged for this….but that’s pretty hard to turn down.

Would be very "fairytale" if he waited for United, i must admit. Obviously not for @Platy

United fan, won the u18’s league as manager and was assistant when we came second. It would be nice. Think it’s a tad too early for him, but I’d be excited. I wanted him to stay at Ipswich for at least next season.

Burnley is a dive that still uses radio transceivers.

Oh yeah, oh yeah, everything is terrible.

if Sky is saying something there has to be a chance

  9. Plymouth avoided relegation by a single point. And this is their move??

You can feel the desperation from Chelsea and United to be going for McKenna. Good manager but he was in League One 12 months ago lol.

I don’t feel like it’s desperate. I’d rather teams take chances on managers like that then trotting the same dinosaurs around that refuse to ever change.

Chelsea not backing Poch is idiotic and they shouldn’t be in this position to begin with but that’s another story.

  13. Ashley Phillips and Alfie Devine both had good loans at Plymouth. And I recall seeing that the club was interested in having both players return for another year. If they hire Rooney, we better avoid at all costs haha

I totally get where you’re coming from, however the same could be said about Arsenal going for Arteta who never managed before Arsenal. Either way, both teams are looking for head coaches rather than managers. McKenna is a fantastic coach, whether he can deal with big team egos is another thing entirely though. I’d rather we take the chance rather than going the safe route like giving Tuchel another chance. RDZ is the only real other “high” profile option on the manager market at the moment and I’m not convinced with him at all.

Oh eh Poch I guess, but I feel he has a ceiling and just left Chelsea because he wanted more power than they would give him. Would be the same issue at United

I think the fact he was at United with a handful of the squad plus the fact they never really wanted to let McKenna go means it has a better shot of paying off

Yeah, McKenna is the one from this list that I would like.

Yeah that’s another thing. We tried a lot to keep McKenna at United. Moreso than say, Ramsey who is also really highly regarded within the club. I think the idea originally was for him to transition up to manager.

Agree with this order, big gap between the top 3 and Frank though.

Seeing rumours that we may be interested in Jurrien Timber’s younger brother, Quentin.

Looks good. Technical midfielder with great passing and a good engine, with 7 goals and 9 assists last season for Feyernoord, but hopefully we want him for the right reasons and not to make Jurrien happy.

Quentin is good. Hope you don’t get him. You’re linked with Hato too which is another lad I don’t want you to get lol
