the new Phoebe Go album is very good. former vocalist of Snakadaktal. I think fans of Skullcrusher, Long Beard, and even stuff like boygenius, HAIM, and Bon Iver would dig it.

Farseek - Who Can Start the Fires. Emo with banjos and horns. They really swing for the fences with this album. Great songwriting

 

Previously this was saint-44 who had moving mountains self titled vibes. Slightly different but so good

 

Seconding the Townies album. Definitely gonna be in my top 10 of the year.

Yeah! Been friends with Tim since college, and Pelafina has played with them a bunch. They're awesome.

 

I really like this song — a lot more than the other single they released recently — but it's always weird hearing Dan sing lyrics he obviously didn't write.
