There’s a podcast called “Polishing Turds” about bad music, and they did a five-part deep dive on Kid Rock. TL;DR, he’s a grifting piece of shit. Most of his hit singles have been either borrowed or sampled from existing songs, and his whole persona is super fake.

Yeah, I've been saying this for a while. Why are people still supporting / highlighting this band? Wild.

 

It’s the same reason Brand New still has a following. A lot of their fans discovered them in high school, and their relationship to them didn’t run deeper than enjoying the music or seeing a show.

 

Brand New could announce a show tomorrow and it’d sell out in minutes.

Feels like the Saves The Day stuff just isn’t that well known. It wasn’t really well publicized when the story broke (and even then the details are fuzzy at best) and that was a few years ago. Outside of this thread existing, most people legitimately have no idea about these incidents.

 

I'm sure 90% of people who listen to Saves The Day have no idea about what happened, maybe even 95

 

Unfortunately a lot of people don’t understand how a man can get abused by another man.

 

Like I said in the other thread, he's also said heinous things about women. Anthony Raneri from Bayside also said that Chris has been this way for a long time and can't support him after what's happened because Chris didn't get help. Even his band members stated shit about Chris' actions.

 

But all those members are, to my knowledge, still in STD, so how much do they really care?

I remember Arun and Rodrigo putting out some very weird, contrived-sounding replies to people when asked about Chris. Very much read like they signed NDAs.
