In a similar "what could have been", United had agreed to sign him when Moyes was Manager, but the plug was pulled. We would have ruined him anyway, but even still.

it’s definitely the tv rights! before teams sell a ticket or a hot dog, each team gets somewhere between 100 to 150 million dollars just from MLB’s national tv deals + pooling and sharing 48% of local tv deals. And when you add in the 52% teams keep for themselves for local tv broadcasting, some teams are pushing 200m before looking at tickets, concessions, parking, selling merchandise, etc

MLB was also the world leader in live sports streaming for a period of time, periodically selling off ownership stakes in MLB’s streaming company BAMTech to Disney over the last 10 years, totaling nearly $3.5 billion overall, all which got split amongst the teams for about $115 million each

have to imagine we have reached the top of the mountain of the value for baseball broadcasting deals but who knows

  4. Being linked to Toney makes me nervous. I could see that signing going either way. And since it’d be us doing it, it probably would end poorly hah

Hopefully that gives Rashford a kick up the arse.

really happy for Quansah getting deserved recognition but also hope he gets to rest after unexpectedly becoming third choice CB following Matip’s injury and eventually second choice CB for Liverpool down the stretch with Konate’s drop in form, a lot of senior minutes this season

I get it’s just the provisional squad lol

No issues with that squad. Doesn't seem to be any glaring omissions (Toney over Solanke is for penalty ability I would think). Defense does feel a bit weak mind, but not like there's anyone he could have called instead. Love Eze being there.

Hard to pick the Starting XI as there's so many options available, it'll be interesting to see how Southgate gets the best from as many as possible.

I was trying to describe myself to someone

We look so lightweight at centre back.

Also, I hadn't really twigged that with Pope injured and Ramsdale not playing, we really have Pickford and not much else.

  9. Foden Kane Saka up top with Palmer Bellingham Rice midfield?

They spoke on the Arsecast about how the Arsenal squad and coaches have all been playing mafia/werewolf (like traitors) together to bond. Just makes me love them more.

One step closer to getting Bukayo in my D&D group.

If i’m Southgate i’m tempted to drop Bellingham deeper than he’s been playing this year and use him in a more disciplined role as a partner to Rice and let Palmer take that role of furthest forward of the midfielders/progressive ball carrier.

In a perfect world Mainoo has an extra year under his belt because he’s genuinely the perfect profile to complete a midfield with Rice and Bellingham. I’m just not sure he’s ready to be starting at a tournament like this after less than a full season of senior level football.

  13. So apparently Poch and Chelsea could breakup because Poch wants to have a say in their signings but the owners are saying no. It will always be insane to me to hire a manager and not give him any influence on what players you sign.

Wharton creeping quietly into contention will likely go under the radar for the time being, but if he gets a chance, I think he'll take it.
