Yeahh spending $225 on every Invincible volume is a bit painful

I watched a video that broke down all of Nintendo's internal dev teams and the titles/genres they were responsible for, and it gave me a good idea of what I think Switch 2's launch titles will be. We haven't gotten anything from EPD 8 (3D Mario team) in awhile, and it has been awhile since EPD 4 (casual and experimental games) put out Switch Sports. Also wouldn't be shocked if EPD 9 (Mario Kart and Arms team) has something to drop at launch.

Also EPDs 3 (LoZ) , 5 (Animal Crossing and Splatoon), and 10 (2D Mario and Pikmin) all had super busy last few years so I wouldn't expect anything brand new from them in awhile.

 

Ok but when is the next fire emblem

 

I dunno depends how big Intelligent Systems teams are. They're just getting off developing the Thousand Year Door remake.

 

Also EPD 7 (co-development of 2D Metroid with MercurySteam team) under Katsuya Yamano haven't done anything since Dread. Wonder what they're cooking up. Besides Metroid, Yamano was also one of the lead devs behind the Wario Land series, which hasn't had a release since 2008. Just sayin.

 

rumours have been floating around for awhile that a fire emblem 4 remake has been in the works. Hell, I think the damn game is finished bc nintendo likes to sit on finished games so who knows. Could show up at the June direct

 

Have heard rumors of an open world Mario and a new Mario Kart being launch titles. Both games, but especially Mario Kart are apperently the best looking Nintendo games by a decent margin.

 

What would an open world Mario even be like?

 

Yeah I am expecting 3D Mario, Mario Kart, a some kind experimental game that utilizes and shows off whatever new hardware gimmick Switch 2 has, and probably a couple big exclusives from third party partner studios like HAL or somethings, maybe a big Nintendo title remake from a third-party studio.

 

I dont know but I think about it all the time

 

i remember hearing word that the next Mario Kart game was supposed to have some revolutionary mechanic behind it, but i have no clue what that could be.

 

Create-A-Track maybe?

I remember hearing speculation awhile ago that it was going to be like Super Kart Bros Ultimate. Characters and tracks from tons of different IPs instead of just Mario-verse characters and a couple LoZ and Splatoon characters.
