Dune franchise is growing. We've got a tv show this year and that Dune video game coming out next year

 

I wonder if this show will adapt Sisterhood of Dune at all or if it’s an original story.

I haven't read any of the books yet, what exactly is this adapting? Part of the main book series or one of the spin-off/offshoot ones?

 

Years ago when the DV Dune films were announced this was supposed to come out quite soon after the first movie. The scripts were written together too. I wonder how much of this original intent will shine through and make the movies even better.

Definitely looks like a made-for-tv version of Villeneuve's Dune universe. My excitement for this has definitely dropped since knowing DV was no longer involved, and I don't think the trailers are helping much.

 

Yeah I think that’s my main issue. Denise is such good author of this world visually I just don’t know if it will work the same.
