The Mortis arc is the single most Star Trek thing I have ever seen in Star Wars. I mean that in the best way.

A mysterious signal that leads to a giant weird floating space object. A bright flash then the crew suddenly finds themselves stranded in a pocket world outside space/time where they encounter divine like cosmic entities whom provide coded truths about the protagonist's future destiny. I have seen the crews of multiple USS Enterprises deal with this before. A classic Trek dilemma lol

I am on the slave arc in Clone Wars season 4. I will say this about season 4, these arcs are getting longer and more frequent. So if I am on an arc that I find a little meh, I have to sit through basically a feature length film of it before I get to the next one.

I think that absolutely incredible season 3 Dathomir/Savage Opress arc spoiled this show a bit, because now I am just waiting around for something to top that. That might have been the best thing i have ever seen in Star Wars so far. Luckily the followup to that is coming after the next 4 episode arc.

And for the Mortis arc. It was really good, but again I have seen a version of at least a half dozen times throughout multiple Star Trek series. it didn't feel particularly unique or groundbreaking to me.

  8. You should skip the droid arc whenever that comes up

I just finished the two parter droid arc in 4 when R2 and threepio go on some adventures. I thought it was fun and was a nice break in the dour seriousness.

  10. There’s another one, possibly three episodes, and it’s rough lol

I did quite like that Umbara arc. I dig the Rex-centric stuff.

One simple thing this show made me realize that I never really thought about before is "oh shit the Jedi Council know Dooku is a Sith Lord, but think Dooku is the master, and have absolutely no clue he's really the apprentice.."

The one I just finished in 4 they help a species recover from an earthquake and then the next episode they stop a bunch of pitstop droids from wizard of oz-ing a bunch of dumb guys and they kill a race of tiny people's king.

saw Phantom Menace in the theater last week and forgot to post.

    How Rude

Qui Gon was taken from us too soon. he should have stayed behind after freeing Anakin to raise him with Shmi and teach him his alternate ways of the Force on Tattoine.

this is also still the best prequel.

One thing that has bothered me: so like Dooku knew that Sidious was really Palpatine, and so how the hell did he think the Clone Wars were going to end with both he and Sidious both surviving and both being in a position of power? Like in his mind what did Dooku think the endgame was? Because Palpatine's actual plan would ever never worked with him still being in the picture.

Wouldn’t his endgame be killing Palpatine to then rule the galaxy himself?

So he was just hedging all his bets the entire war that he'd be able to take out Palpatine when the time was right?

Isn’t that basically what every sith apprentice does in the end? I don’t think he expected Palpatine to cause his death so that’s why he was so shocked when it happened. I feel like all 3(?) of Palpatine’s apprentices thought they’d rule with him and eventually strike him down to become the master themselves. Dooku tries planning his betrayal multiple times for that reason too, doesn’t he?

I’m also high and don’t actually have a clue. That’s just my interpretation of how everything went. Lol

Why does Dooku look like that in clone wars though

I would assume his endgame was “imma kill this dude the second he’s taken out the Jedi” lol

It’s all pretty convoluted, to be honest. They are following the rule of two with Palpatine as master and Dooku as an apprentice. But then you have Ventress come in for a bit. And I don’t believe that Dooku knew about Palpatine also recruiting Anakin slowly over the years, making him a phantom apprentice. He seemed surprised when Palpatine had him killed and realized Anakin was taking his place, even though Anakin didn’t realize that at the time.

But ultimately, I think Dooku thought he and Palpatine would rule together. But yea, the rule of two would indicate that Dooku would one day kill Sheev and take his place as master and then have a new apprentice.

I got to the episode where Bo Katan and Ahsoka meet. That was cool.

Now I am working my way through the 4 episode arc where Obi Wan goes undercover in the criminal underworld. Which I can already tell will be another slog. At least we got Maul's return arc next.

I was looking at upcoming seasons, is it true in season 6 we barely get any Anakin/Obi Wan/Ahsoka?
