Who will start up front for United tonight? My app says Bruno, but I'm guessing it'll be Garnacho?

  2. Really need Brighton and United to grab at least a point today. Don’t wanna go into Sunday nervous that a loss drops us to 8th place.

Bruno/McTominay. Garnacho has never played up top as far as I know. Amad has more appearances up top.

I’m barely watching this but every time I look at it we’re hoofing it up front. Fucking hell

They couldn’t possibly be giving a penalty for that could they?

with every passing game I find it harder and harder to judge ten Hag on a year of unprecedented injuries decimsting a squad that was bang average to begin with and has no real depth

Martinez and Shaw being out all season is devastating. Mount, Martial, and Malacia out all year on top of that is really rough. Varane, Maguire, Lindelof all missing at least half of the total gsmes this year. Casemiro and Eriksen have gone from being non factors in games to proper liabilities due to decline of their physical profiles.

with all that said it’s hard to understand and borderline unforgivable he set the team up to maintain a wide open midfield all year

Imagine he’s barely got a game since coming back from injury.

Amad really taking his chance starting. Looked bright the last few days. About time ten Hag gave him a proper chance.

Newcastle have played like a team that knows they won’t catch Chelsea for a Europa spot and would rather let United have the Conference League spot

  17. These last few days made me realize a lot of fans have main character syndrome. Ange was angry and frustrated after the game and the fans assumed he was directing the anger toward them. Today we learn that it wasn’t them and actually aimed at a few staff members who were joking about losing the game on purpose.

And I think the main character syndrome thing is seen with a lot of fans across sports but maybe soccer specifically. They like to talk about how the fans are the backbone of the club and without them the club wouldn’t exist etc. And I get all that. And I don’t necessarily disagree. But this week is an example of fans taking that concept too far. They put themselves and what they want above the club and what’s best for the club. To me, that’s not what being a fan is about.

Laughable if lamptey went unpunished and Reece James is sent off here lol

was it Bruno G who got away with a forearm check to the side or back of someone’s head earlier in the season? the inconsistency is maddening

Yeah that was against us. Basically elbowed Jorginho in the head.

  23. Wild that Chelsea will most likely qualify for one of the Europe spots. They were so poor just a few months ago.

Part of it is also the teams in front of them falling apart. But still impressive that Poch was able to turn it around.

  24. Last thing I’ll say about the Tottenham drama…

@SamLevi11 mentioned the state of Arsenal when Arteta took over and how it was different than other rebuilds/projects. This week was a great example of the job Ange has ahead of him haha it’s not necessarily a bad locker room like Arteta had to maneuver thru but it might take a miracle to change the mentality at Spurs.

I think in general, managers aren't given enough time to build, and fan voices become too loud and too negative due to social media amplification. RE - Chelsea, people wanted Poch fired halfway through the season and he's turning it around.

I'd give Erik Ten Hag another season as well.
