I'd honestly be very excited about a smash bros movie.

 

i, on the other hand, am NOT looking forward to yet another studio trying to make a "cinematic universe"
that phrase is like poison to me now

 

I just want a Luigi’s Mansion film

The Legend of Zelda movie will be live action. No idea how they’ll merge that with the CGI world of Mario and Donkey Kong.

 

Different universes. Easy peasy.

 

The only thing that seems odd is if they’re making a cinematic universe then why have other studios make films? Mario is universal and Zelda is Sony.

 

Zelda is also live action *barfs*

Mario 4 when they introduce the Ice Climbers is gonna rock

 

After Mario and Zelda I feel like the next Nintendo franchise to get a film adaptation will be Kirby (or Donkey Kong, but he appeared in Mario already). Pokemon has already been adapted, but I feel like nothing from detective pikachu will ever crossover and they'll have a new "canon" film to crossover with the others.

Ideally it would be

Mario
Zelda
Donkey Kong
Kirby
Metroid
Star Fox
Smash Bros

Throw in Luigi's Mansion too, but it would be apart of the Mario franchise.

 

just hoping they don't do an Animal Crossing movie. they already made one for Japan in 2006 that captured the spirit of the first two games, and a Western remake would feel incredibly stupid

 

Honestly want them stop making movies

 

give me a gritty live action fire emblem three houses so I never have to watch a Harry Potter movie again

Zelda will probably have a separate animated version with Universal is my guess. But I obviously have no clue. I’d hope anyway

 

or a xenoblade chronicles tv show

 

Doubt Nintendo will go through the trouble of making a live action Zelda just to make it obsolete with an animated one

 

It's going to be a long time from now, but I hope when they do another SSB game they integrate more of Luigi's Mansion stuff into Luigi's moveset. Like why is his Final Smash not the Poltergust 3000?

 

Yoshi's Island will probably be the story for Mario 2. Captain Toad and Pikmin would be good shorts. Not sure how an Animal Crossing movie would make sense narratively. I don't see a fire emblem film being made before smash bros.

 

Oh no I meant like Link and Zelda will probably appear animated in like a smash movie or pop up in other movies but they wouldn’t be connected to the live action movie or get their own movie.

 

Luigi's final smash in Ultimate uses the poltergust from Luigi's Mansion 3

Yeah his final smash in Ultimate is much better than his weird acid trip final smash in Brawl and Wii U

 

Didn't I also hear that Nintendo started their own animation studio to do projects outside of universal? Like that Hollywood is getting the big moneymaker stuff and Nintendo was going to adapt the smaller IPs in-house?

That would be perfect for animes based on like F-Zero or Mother or something

 

I hope they make a Master Hand origin story
