Southern Utah is the most beautiful place in the country, in my opinion. When I moved out to Portland from Atlanta, we went out of our way to visit Zion because of Fallout: New Vegas. I've worked on the state's ad campaigns for close to a decade and have been able to go out on shoots there a bunch. It never gets old.

I just did a drive from Chicago to SLC and back. Don’t get to south Utah, but the area on the way out of SLC into the mountains was really gorgeous. The Grand Tetons and Idaho were the most beautiful part of the trip, imo.

There's a town in like southwest Colorado that you can hit like 8 National Parks within in like a 6 hour drive. Many of them obviously in Utah. It keeps popping up on my Instagram, its wild how varied the terrain is.

I refuse to believe the most beautiful place in the US is a place without trees

All these guys kissing Trump’s shoes during this trial is wild, like are all you that cravenly desperate for power that you’re gonna act like a courtroom groupie for it? The desperation just reeks.

Yeah it's wild how the base doesn't see all them coming in, tail between their legs as weak. Though the GOP base has been awfully good at cognitive dissonance for about 15 years now.

Part of that route 12 drive I was posting about goes from the desolate desert and them climbs up into a bit of a mountain forest. As much as I love trees and as much as I'd put Tetons, Glacier, and possibly Olympic NP above the Utah deserts in terms of beauty, that part was my least favorite part of the route 12 drive. Give me the orange/pink/brown desolate desert over that in Utah haha

Grand Tetons really are something else. I liked it there more than Yellowstone tbh.

I don't travel much, but I did drive across the top part of the country one time from MA to Tacoma, Washington, and the grand tetons are absolutely incredible

Yeah you think from pictures you know what to expect and then you get there and it's just impossible to do it justice with pictures. I took some of my favorite pictures from our trip there and they all fall short of actually showing what its like (Well, that and the fact that I don't really know how to edit and I didn't know enough to take RAW images lol)

Last pics I swear but yeah Tetons are ridiculous and should be on everyone's bucketlist. The 2nd picture here is the view from our back country campsite that we stayed at for a night. We were right on the shore of the lake and not a soul in site. There were two other backcountry camp spots along that side of the shore but they were either unoccupied the night we were there or too far away for us to notice. If I hadn't already proposed to my wife a year before this in Arches, I probably would have done so at that campsite Tetons.jpg .

I remember camping right at the base of the Tetons and being in absolute awe of the place. My friend and I then drove to Yellowstone after that part of the trip and I ended up being let down with Yellowstone for how undramatic it was in comparison, haha

Yeah Yellowstone has the wildlife advantage overall, but the scenery just can't compete. Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is cool but not Tetons level cool lol.

The thing that still stands out to me from camping that night at that spot was how loud the mountains were. It was like a soft rumble in the distance, I assume from wind passing over the peaks and whatnot.

I think I heard the same thing, haha. My friend and I also decided to ambitiously attempt a hike up into the main part of the Teton range, leaving at like 7am, and once we got to the snow line after like 4 or 5 hours I was like “maybe we should turn back”, haha. Was absolutely beat tired by the time we got back (we ran out of water half way through….this was July, haha)
