I’m not saying it’s a given or a lock. We don’t have to take is as gospel. Just that it’s possible that it would open up their timelines so it’s not flooded with posts or they can advertise the shows already in place as much as normal… I would love to be wrong, but it was just speculation.

 

I think this week will go something like this

Riot lineup tease tomorrow with the lineup on Wednesday
Lolla schedules Thursday

Rise against just finished album 10. Id lock them in to playing the fest and a pre show the week of

 

I'd expect Lolla aftershows probably in the next 3 weeks as well

Oh, most definitely! And especially if you haven't seen them on this run yet. They're pretty much as good (if not better?) than they've ever been. Fully locked in, stoked to be there, etc.

I'm not saying I wouldn't be excited about it or that it wouldn't add anything for me... But it wouldn't make or break my decision to go or not unless the openers were something different or special (e.g., Alkaline Trio, MxPx, the Lawrence Arms, Direct Hit!, RKL).

They'd be a fantastic add for Riot Fest! They'd be a good album play too, but with a new album I suspect WWYF might be the lone time this year they do that one... But they would be a really great mid-afternoon get!

 

Nada Surf is out, unfortunately. Thalia Hall on 10/10.

On the plus side, I'm feeling like Basement is possible? FB page updated with a new cover photo. So they're doing something.

 

Since they were announcing the dates today, I’m not surprised. Hopefully we get Riot’s announcement of the announcement today.

 

Mothers of Folk a possibility?? They announced a vinyl reissue and said they’re “celebrating” 15 years of that record.

I know Bright Eyes has been a common guess this year. Anyone know My Morning Jacket’s schedule?

 

That would probably be a Thalia Hall show or shows.

 

So is there going to be a tease today?

 

I sure hope so.

And it looks like Basement is still a possibility.

 

Basement looks locked in

 

The Dismemberment Plan announced a handful of shows today. But they noted that “our schedules don’t align much these days.” And they’re only playing cities in which all the members live in plus BFF. I’d rule them out

 

God dammit this better be cap

Excited for Basement being pretty likely, but D-Plan, Blood Brothers, and Nada Surf all (most likely) out is a bummer.

 

They posted another taunting TIkTok. It's got a comment of somebdoy saying "It's been five days" with Mo congratulating the person on knowing how to count...

Guessing it's not today.

 

Eh, I feel like the often give that snark right up to the announcement of the announcement. The twitter being so quiet yesterday made me think it would be coming soon. But who knows.

Oh yeah, agreed as far as the snark is concerned... But there's usually a day of mostly silence and no show announcements before the pre-announcement teaser. They haven't slowed down with the show promotion yet.

I just hope its soon. We've hit the "anonymous posters on Reddit sharing oddly specific information like they're an official source clearly to troll" and people asking if they've dropped a line-up hint video yet portion of the waiting period...
