Yeah, I'm not into these songs at all.

The band is very hit or miss for me, I really love a lot of their songs but every album is like 4 songs I love and a bunch I never revisit. I know this sounds insane considering, but I kind of wish they would switch things up regarding their songwriting/production. I'd love to see what they do with an outside producer, taking a few months to write a cohesive album.

The whole "release a shit ton of albums every year" is impressive but it's very much quantity over quality at this point.

Welp….. the extended mixes blow the regular ones out of the water. I don’t even know why they bothered releasing them. I love this.

  4. Yeah, I can't really see myself ever listening to the non-extended versions and I am also absolutely loving this.

The extended versions are what make this album work. So sick

I'm excited to check this out and to see them live for the first time this fall. I have no idea what to expect considering their discography is so vast and eclectic but from all accounts, it'll be a hell of a show.

  11. As a Fishies lover, I'm really loving them getting back to some boogie again.

I've been finally doing these guys discog (moving to Melbourne it's almost inevitable lol). really love Polygondwanaland so far, any of their other 100 albums sound like that?

Laminated Denim is only two (fifteen minute) songs, but it's closest.

  18. I'd recommend Murder of the Universe for more prog and Butterfly 3000 for more rhythmic layering. Omnium Gatherum has a couple of songs in that vein.

Bumping this guide again to help: Get Into Gizz

From Polygondwanaland - it branches off to: Butterfly 3000, Murder of the Universe or Flying Microtonal Banana depending on what you liked the most about Poly

I actually heard FMB first, it's definitely a bit gimmicky at times but there's some great stuff on there. Open Water and Nuclear Fusion go hard
