I think it’s just proof that goaltending is our problem. We have good goalies. But they come up short against the elite goalies. Not nearly as clutch or consistent. And we’re going to meet one of those guys every playoff.

 

doesn’t help they suck shit on power plays

 

But I think you can look at past Stanley cup teams and say that you don't need an elite goalie to win. If you do everything else right, a good goalie is good enough. 0-15 on the powerplay through the 3 games of the series. One game was a 1 goal loss and 2 of them went to OT. Bad special teams will lose more games than "less than elite" goaltending

Honestly wouldn’t have looked as bad if he didn’t hit Johnston on the turnaround. It was shoulder to shoulder on that overhead view, to me at least. Brutal hit nonetheless
