It has a 90% on metacritic if you care about that stuff lol. But yeah I think it’s good. The game loop is addicting and you can play for hours or easily jump for one day cycle and turn it off if you don’t have much time. Pretty much you dive for fish and other resources as the main mechanic, and at night you operate a sushi restaurant. Other mechanics slowly get added in as you progress through the story and there are a lot of was to enhance items, resources, etc.

has any single video game journalist from a popular outlet EVER given a game a 0 or a 1? I bet the average rating across the board for any game is a 7.

I mean I googled Gollum for shits and even that didn’t get a 1.

PS plus premium is better anyway /shrug hell the free games I’ve racked up since last summer alone have been more than worth the price of admission when you stack them up

Idk, PS Plus Premium hasn't really given me the greatest games that I'm interested in, but I never use my PS5 anymore so I gotta keep a better eye out

 

Game Pass as a concept is flawed. Fucking 100gb ass games might as well pay for them at least that way the studio might survive.

yep watching Xbox shutter a studio that had a “gamepass hit” because it didn’t do well enough after promising to invest in smaller projects for the platform (ie Pentiment which has me so worried about Obsidian now) has left me feeling extremely jaded toward their strategy concerning gamepass. Sony not putting day one releases on their platform (for the most part, I know that one metroidvania just hit there day one) begins to make a lot more sense. The back catalog of older titles makes up for their lack of new and exciting titles and that’s what I see a subscription service more for anyway: catching up with games and franchises you want to get into. I use it more like a backlog that stops me from having to purchase every game I’m interested in playing some day

 

someone’s probably going to point out how I was obsessed with gamepass a year and a half ago but so much has changed since then the argument would be moot. plus I’m probably blocked anyway ;)

 

Game pass has saved me far too much money and storage space. If game pass' economics can't support day one games, that's on Microsoft to figure out or change how they do it. I'd be okay if they stopped doing day one games, but a great deal is a great deal. Period. And I'm not gonna get guilt tripped into acting like it's not. lol
