I don’t need it, but apparently some libraries even loan out WiFi hotspots. So if you don’t feel like paying for internet, you can just loan those and keep renewing it. Obviously, this only works if very few people do it. But I have a coworker who has been doing it for years.

honestly internet access should be free to begin with, along with healthcare etc.

 

a homeless person can't get a job because they don't have a permanent address or internet access (since applications are online now), and they can't get healthcare because they'd get that through their job, so i guess fuck homeless people amirite

This talk has made me decide to try and get a library card tonight haha. I've lived in my city since 2016 and still don't have one.

I just wanna finish reading Invincible - Kindle unlimited only has a few volumes :(. The library doesn't have it but they have some deals with apps like Hoopla where you can punch your card number in for streaming and e-books. Or maybe just get an interlibrary loan.

 

Libraries will also usually give you discounted tickets to museums (mine is typicaly 50%off, sometimes kids free) and they've started to get 3D printers you can use for free too
