When I heard it was taking place in completely in one urban city instead of a huge open landscape/wilderness I was wondering this too. Like Pokemon GTA is what came to mind.

 

Which sounds amazing.

With it most likely being a launch game I’m confident that Nintendo will make sure it’s polished, too

 

Don't expect a release before next fall.

that said I am feeling bullish on Prime 4 this holiday.

 

I think that’s mostly because the Wii U sold like 13 million. Also Wii U used discs. Switch and switch 2 will be cartridge. Backward compatibility from Wii U to Switch was never in the cards

 

Yeah, frankly I'm glad Nintendo salvaged the majority of the Wii U software library.

I do wish Nintendo could find a way to make a Nintendo Land port work someday. The asymmetric games that used the gamepad were great.

 

Tbh I actually do think if there was ever a good time for Nintendo to use Zelda ports to milk more money from fans, it would probably be after casually tweeting that the Switch is in its final year

Can't believe people are jinxing WW and TP out in the open.

Nintendo would never do that. Ever. We will never got a port of the HD version of WW and TP on the Nintendo Switch in 2024 in a dual combo pack for only $60. Nope. No way.

Don't think I saw anyone say this yet but I was listening to Kinda Funny's podcast on it yesterday and they said a reviewer for another site that had finished all the content of the early access version (they got codes several days before the release) said the story ending isn't complete, there are some missing assets, and a there whole region that is planned but not currently in the game. So it's probably going to be a while.

 

Early access can last for years

 

Everyone always naming 3D Zeldas to port to switch but ignoring A Link Between Worlds. The top down Zelda team who did Link's Awakening remake must have been working on something the last few years.

 

I have not encountered a 2D Zelda that I have liked
