I like when metroidvanias aren't super serious all the time, so it's good when soulslikes get the same treatment. I think the two have a lot of overlap but the latter just has a reputation of being difficult so I haven't actually like tried any games from From yet. Hollow Knight and Blasphemous are really cool but also can be really frustrating

 

I might give demons souls remake another shot soon. I got stuck on tower knight when I first got it and never went back.

 

Hollow Knight is the game I credit as planting the seed in my brain that I might be able to handle souls games. I played it in 2021 so I waited for elden ring and yeah that broke the floor gates. Still haven’t play too many non from soft souls like games though.

 

Same, I just got the mission to go to Matrix 11 but I'm doing side missions first.

I definitely was NOT expecting that genre shift to action/horror lol. Loved it though.

I also heard there's 3 endings. Wonder if NG+ is required because of the only one save.

 

DeS is the only one I genuinely dislike.

 

I also own the original ps3 version and have considered giving that a try instead

 

honestly that's the way to go. I hate what they did with the remake. so soulless. (no pun intended)

 

there’s something so satisfying about the odyssey gameplay loop. taking down forts and leader houses is classic AC gameplay and I’m putting quite a bit into assassin damage and abilities to make it that way BUT when things do go belly up this game has the most forgiving parry window I’ve ever seen in my life so it’s easy to feel like a bad ass and hit parries and perfect dodges with people swarming you

 

So my son plays Fortnite on switch. I notice how when we redeem vbucks it asks what system we play on. I’ve been thinking of getting him a PS5 but can he transfer his stuff over from switch to PS5? He’s got a bunch of vbucks cards for his birthday but I’m trying to convince him to hold off on redeeming

I recently switched from my ps5 to PC on fortnite and all my shit carried over it’s tied to your epic games account so as long as you use the same one it should be good

 

Where you redeem your vbucks matters. I go back and from between my Switch and Xbox, but vbucks bought on one won’t go to the other. Your items stay with the account, but the vbucks thing is weird.

 

Whatever you spend them on will though right?

That happened with my daughter’s account, bought V-Bucks for her and she could only redeem them on Switch.

 

If I play fortnite on my PC will that only pair me with PC players?

 

Third BL3 DLC down (tho I guess I am going out of order...) Bounty of Blood has a cool mixture of Western (genre) vibes with Eastern (geographical) aesthetics. It adds some interesting traversal and combat mechanics. However, emotionally it's a little unengaging for me because it doesn't have any pre-established characters. I guess a little side story disconnected from everything else can have its own charm.

The was a period of time when I was really into mobile games and this was one of them. It’s super fun and has cool mechanics. Very addicting and easy to pick up and play.

 

Gamer’s Log:
I’m super picky with open world games, so I’m glad I’m enjoying Assassin’s Creed Origins so much! It’s hard to put down because around every corner is another ? or side quest to start. I know shit about history, but the story doesn’t get too much into real life shit and is more character-centric. And I feel like everything in the skill tree is worth getting, compared to some games where it’s stuff just to get and I’m not going to use.
