Also, seems odd to suddenly give Morgan credit for being the one behind the Tie Defenders. While I don’t think in Rebels it explicitly says Thrawn designed them, it does come across as if it’s very much his project first and foremost. Weird to suddenly say he just liked the design a lot.

Ugh I'm a recovering Magic player who tried Lorcana but quit fast due to the lack of product, which sounds like an issue here too. My LGS does actually have a demo kit, maybe I'll give it a shot

Lorcana was reasonably fun at first once we got our hands on starter decks. our LGS had a good amount of product for set 2 (although we found starter decks for this set on vacation), and for set 3 my partner purchased an entire case from eBay, and filled in everything else with singles from TCGPlayer. however, we're slowly shifting away from it due to both potential quality/quantity issues for set 4 and just enjoying SWU more.

i will say that FFG definitely had a better handle on product availability for SWU than Ravensburger did for Lorcana. despite some delays in a full reprint for set 1, FFG had a ton of product ready to go for launch, and from what we were told, i think they had a bunch of extra product on reserve exclusively for game stores to order via distributors, but stores had to wait a set amount of time before putting in an order for more so other stores could make purchases if they didn't already. now obviously, SWU is sold out and a full reprint of set 1 is probably gonna come any time between September and November, but a) lots of game stores might have product on hand if you inquire around (there's one apparently 30 minutes away from us that has packs for pretty cheap), and b) worst case scenario, the game is supposedly designed to not put you at a disadvantage if you jump in later with set 2. either way, there's probably still a good chance you can easily jump in if you find you have fun with a demo.

Star Wars Unlimited looks great, but I know my addictive personality wouldn’t be able to handle it… lol.

I had decided to go see it, but my theater had lost power yesterday and closed for now. Seems to not be back up and running yet. It may be bad Star Wars, but it’s still Star Wars and it always hits better in a theater.

I’m seated for it. Didn’t get to see this in theaters when I was a kid.

trying to confirm how i first saw it. i was about to turn 5 when it released, so i wanna say my parents either rented it from Blockbuster or they bought a DVD of it a couple years down the line. i know they bought Attack of the Clones for me and i watched it for the first time on DVD, and i definitely remember seeing Revenge of the Sith in theaters. watched the OG trilogy with a friend when he brought his DVDs over, and have seen 4 of the 5 newer films when they released in theaters (the exception being Solo, which i think i first saw on Netflix)

thought the Queen double reveal was much earlier

    but it was pretty fun

I took my 7 year old and his two friends to see it. They loved the podracing and Jar Jar. They were getting pretty antsy during all the Coruscant scenes—we actually all got up and went to be bathroom during it. It was fun to see it in theaters, but hoo boy that late-90s/early 00s CGI sure looks rough on a huge screen.

not entirely the same, but the theater i saw ROTS in is now a church. there are too many churches in my hometown so it honestly should've been demolished instead.
