They fix some of the crowding and sound issues from last year?

I didn’t go last year so I can’t compare but me personally had no issues on sound and crowding…

they basically hired local techs for the side stages last year and were litered with muffled, quiet sound, some bands you could only hear drums etc. that was a major complain from folks last year, and a lot of reviews said it was too crowded and basically it was extremely difficult to get around.

Ahhhh well I can tell you that was not the case sound wise and it was pretty easy to get around.

I think they added a stage this year too if I’m not mistaken.

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

I saw clips of Knocked Loose and Sunami, both looked nuts.

Sunami and Trash Talk had the craziest sets imo

KL was sick too tho for the two songs I was able to catch since they packed the fuck out of their stage.

I love the lineup of these but I don't think I'll ever get to one as it's too hot this time of year in Vegas and the set conflicts were absolutely brutal. It looked like one of those problems was solved with a slightly cooler day but could be wrong. Was expecting to see 90's and saw low 80's instead.

Lorna Shore / Knocked Loose would have been must sees and the Fleshwater - Drain run is great (I have seen vein.fm and they dont know anything for me despite the love they have as well).

But yea, overall, too many conflicts to justify me making the trip. I've done wwyf twice and rarely faced an issue though I'm jinxing myself for the 3rd year now.

Glad those that went had fun. If anyone saw any of the bands I mentioned, let me know how they were!

Didn't go last year, but from basically Alice In Chains on you couldn't get anywhere close to actually see anything on the main stages unless you'd been camping out all day. Just screens and little dots that are people. Which is a bummer but I wanted to see other bands on other stages and I obviously need to eat and hydrate. Heard there was a lot of incidents of people passing out or getting hurt from BMTH onto System. I ended up leaving 3 songs into System because it just didn't seem worth it to watch a screen for 1.5 hours, plus I was just exhausted and very sunburnt. If they reduced the capacity by 5000-10000 people it would have made a substantial difference. So overcrowding definitely a problem at least on main stages.

As far as sound issues Dayseeker's set cut out multiple times. They were still good, it was just a bummer to hear it cut out at random. Siren Stage mixing was way too quiet at least further back. It's a problem when I hear myself and the audience over Knocked Loose.

I had a good time overall but idk if I'd do it again. If I did it would have to be VIP.

pretty much my thoughts is I’d have to do VIP to go again

Early word is System of a Down will once again be headlining again next year and they kind of see them as “their” band

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

I could just see SOAD doing this fest and only this fest from now on. Basically a “hey, wanna see us? Make a trip out of it” sort of thing.

And from their end, why not? Only play a show or two a year, make a solid paycheck and do your own thing the rest of the year. It’s a win-win for them

Wonder who's gonna be in that 2nd headliner spot. Could see someone like Tool, Avenged Sevenfold or even this new version of Linkin Park in there

definitely feels like that new LP is going to be a SNW '25 headliner, as there's no signs still of them altering their plans despite the increasingly loud blowback ...

After Emily posted the IG story with her apology, the ammoun of LP fans on Reddit saying that was enough for them and that it was the best apology she could ever give, it shows that for most of the fanbase it wont matter, so no real reason to alter the plans

Someone in the tour thread said Metallica is slated to tour the states April-June with a festival in Vegas slated in there… I’d assume they are talking about this one

Metallica's tour post confirmed they are on SNW next year. So that gives one of the headliners.

Limp Bizkit is opening for Metallica on their upcoming headliner. Limp Bizkit would make perfect sense for the next Sick New World since they haven't performed on it yet.
