I always feel for band members that want to continue working and earning when they lose a band member to a death. What a shitty situation

It’s definitely a shitty situation, but just be like New Order and form a new band with the same members.

I thought Deryck from Sum 41 did a good job with the Linkin Park song he performed with them. I read an article that said it's Mike, Brad, and Dave are the three members involved in the reunion. I'd like to see them do a Projekt Revolution tour with the openers performing vocals throughout the set.

I'm assuming Linkin Park's return would be similar to Creed's, in that they'd probably do amphitheaters next summer, sell them out in their entirety, and then announce arenas in the fall?

Idk man I get the hesitancy with a Linkin Park reunion people have, but at the end of the day it was just as much the other members project as it was Chester's. People have already named bands with irreplaceable singers that have continued on (Alice In Chains and Stone Temple Pilots for example) so it's not unheard of. At least it's not as bad as Pantera where Vinnie Paul explicitly stated up until the day he died that he didn't think the band should reunite and then the almost the moment he died Phil and Rex started hearing offers.

I don’t think there is any question that they’d automatically return to arenas.

As long as they don't do a cruise I'll be fine. We must not let that shit become a normal thing.

As someone who loves cruising, going on a cruise and being able to see a bunch of bands I like play sounds like a fucking blast

It sure does! The problem is the money, flights, taking a week off of work and in my case, getting the wife on board with it (pun intended)...

My thing with cruises is....even after seeing my favorite band 2 days in a row, I'd probably get a bit sick of them. I have a good friend who's trying to convince me to go on the 311 cruise and while I do quite enjoy 311, not sure I could take 3 days of them doing the "Applied Science" drum solo.

Don’t most bands on cruises only play once or twice, or do I just not understand how these work?

At one point they did it with Chester too…

Cruise ships are giant pollution machines and are really good at destroying the environment!

Only really can speak on Paramore here but they did two entirely different sets on their cruises. I would assume most bands playing their own cruise switch up those sets. But I don’t know anything about 311 so who knows

Does anyone know if there's a way to see the live nation Concert Week deals that will actually be available in each city? I can only find the list of artists.

I'd try checking local news outlets. Some metro Detroit news sites took all of the eligible shows and put them in a list, which is how I organized my list.

I remember looking at the schedule for the Emo's Not Dead cruise a few months ago out of curiosity and it looked like almost all of the bands played at least two sets from what I remember. I assume the sets were probably different. And sometimes they'd do like an acoustic set or something one day as well.

On occasion, a local news outlet will publish all of them for random cities, but it's not guaranteed. You're not gonna be able to see ALL of them until it goes live. IIRC, there's even some that get added Wednesday after the T-Mobile/Rakuten presale on Tuesday.

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

311 is one of those bands that changes their setlist night-to-night. So chances are, aside from maybe the big hits, you’ll get very different sets from them
