I know we’ve been arguing about it in this thread, but I really think the team fumbled the bag on this release.

 

Just come out so I never have to read about one of the most successful artists in the world not being in the top .1% of artists instead of the top 1% I beg of the internet gods, please just come out.

Enjoying so far, it's definitely more subdued than Future Nostalgia but can't imagine it's knocking her down popularity-wise at this point.

 

Fun album, it's 100% what we all expected it would sound like, but the songs are solid

 

Kevin Parker wrote/produced 7 of the 11 tracks, Danny L Harle is credited on every track

 

Very solid album, def won’t raise her profile but it’s a natural progression for her. It was literally impossible for her to drop something that was gonna be bigger than FN.

not a ton of WILD stuff here, but you can hear the flourishes and tricks

 

"Anything For Love" is almost just an interlude, but it really sticks out here in a good way, cool little track

 

It's definitely not the immediate hit parade that Future Nostalgia was, but I enjoyed my first listen. Highlight for me was "These Walls," which turns out was cowritten by my famous songwriter cousin. Way to go again, Billy!

 

How can we leverage this new-found knowledge of your cousin being a total hit maker? Can we hook him up with Turnstile or something?
