It’s not a work of art or anything but I agree with you. Chorus has a hate boner for Ian Cohen

 

Didn’t even realize it was Ian Cohen and I also don’t have an opinion on him. Just thought it wasn’t a great review and Aaron summed up why.

 

I interviewed Ian lol I don't have a hate-boner for him. I have issues with the way he's written about mental health in the past, but similar to @imthegrimace , I didn't even look at who wrote it. Just felt it was a little messy and weird. But I also wrote a review, so maybe it's not my place to speak on that.

All really great except for Taster, just didn't love the production on that one.

 

I will say, Ian was right about "(ruin my) Ride" still being this band's best track to date

 

Still expect to grow a stronger affinity over time, but currently I’d go

You didn’t get an invite? He flew me out. He keeps making me leave during the sad songs though and when I come back his face is all red like he’s been crying but he keeps swearing to god he hasn’t been crying. It’s a mean bratwurst though

 

Coincidentally I am standing in line to see Mk.gee right now

 

Meant is maybe my favorite song of theirs at this point. This album is so special.

First time listener to these guys. Been keeping this on repeat since yesterday. It's fantastic. The melodies are all so tight and the pacing of the album is perfect. I love how every song is memorable, but they spread out these HUGE singles like Jean, Forever, Meant, and Bad News (which are all incredible). Really helps the album get into this nice ebb and flow.

Can't wait to get into the rest of their albums, but gonna have to hang with this a while longer.

 

Yeah I wanna check out their back catalog but it’s so hard not to just immediately toss this on
