I’ve always liked Twenty-Twenty. Replace Up Against with Brooklyn, keep Twenty Twenty and drop Sleep in between Divine Intervention & Miami and that album is perfect.

20-20 and Up Against both deserve to stay! Just add the 2 bonus songs and call it a packed album imo.

I’d be willing to lose every Louder Now song except “MakeDamnSure,” tbh. But, I’m [damn]sure I’m an outlier in that.

Losing My Blue Heaven, Liar, Ghost and Spin?!

Never!! They have a few albums that would be fine cutting down to EPs. Louder Now is not one of them.

My Blue Heaven is a top 5 TBS song

I’m pretty sick of liar and ghost but they’re necessary anchors for the album. I didn’t really listen to and appreciate it until later but Louder Now always felt like a disjointed collection to me and I think the first 2 make it feel like a proper album.

Yes lol. Now I'm going back and revisiting Orensanz. This version of Carpathia is so good

Fazzi is the real life embodiment of “you don’t know what you’ve got ‘til its gone.” Insane how good this live album is. I wish it was longer. I heard they did an impromptu rendition of “You Know How I Do” that didn’t end up getting recorded.

Adam’s beating the absolute shit out of those drums on the intro & outro, and Rubano’s bass solo is so good.

I was there and it was a long time ago now at this point, but this sounds familiar. They had done two sets, one a little earlier in the evening as a dress rehearsal of sorts, and I think during that first set they would up playing Didn’t See That Coming like 2 or 3 times to really nail it down, so they probably played it then or something.

What song was this taken from? It's been a minute since I listened to it.
The Orensanz version of "Set Phasers" gives me chills. The whispered "Say yes"es, oh my God.

That first demo version of "The Stranger", lol. The second one sounds really cool though, even if it is slower.

They were right though- whatever Shaun was doing in that first demo sounded really cool. Also appreciated Adam singing “River of Dreams” over the slower demo.
I know its been said a bunch in this thread already but thank god they went with Tushar. A completely left field choice but he’s clearly a genius. His style and their sound work so well together. Good on the band too for not being so set in their ways and willing to try anything.

I think that may have been from the “Everything Must Go” performance. Instead of the band coming in where they usually do, Adam has everyone continue playing for a few more measures. Really adds a lot to the performance and the song altogether.

    Thank you!
And I gotta love Adam's Billy Joel arc. I remember years ago he said he only liked "Piano Man" but I bet after meeting the guy he really fell in love with his music. Also, betting on "The Stranger" being named after the Joel album of the same name.
