I mean it’s one week and there are some outlying factors. If they pull a similar number next week I’d be more worried. I expect a bounce back especially given the angle at the end of the show which has got a lot of people talking.

 

It pre-empted the NHL playoff game, so I thought it would do more from people expecting the pregame show, but even that game got shuttled from TNT to TBS & they're notoriously bad with telling fans about special start times/networks.

 

Eh, they did the same demo as pre-Dynasty. The more interesting part is they pulled in more 18-49 people than usual around WM (Collision did really well, etc). They're also about to get the NBA playoffs as a lead-in to Collision Saturday (instead of a draw away)

As @koryoreo said, I'd want to see what it looks like leading into DoN. And even then, they just had Shad Khan on the show. As long as AEW isnt going out of business, Im not really worried if the ratings drop

Also, dont have to imagine the west coast stuff was weird, @Fixed Glitch couldnt figure out when that shit was on TV. Bad move by TBS/AEW/whoever made that choice to not announce it WAY in advance, because I only vaguely heard it in passing and it didnt affect me time zone wise

 

They couldn’t announce it way in advance. It was a last minute NHL playoff schedule change announced less than a week in advance that caused this.

 

Dynasty was a good show but there wasn't a ton of intrigue leaving it - Jack's return was really the only thread other than Jericho's promo as far as a continuation of those stories, and the card was weak on paper. i see Swerve/Fletcher eliminator and i know who will win and that i likely won't find out who is next challenging Swerve. Mox/Hobbs for the IWGP is a nothing match, Mina vs Anna carries zero name appeal, and then the rest were segments. the two things that made the show sing, the gauntlet and TK's appearance, were both announced after the show went live.

not like i'm contributing to their ratings with how i watch, but i came very close to skipping a live watch and DLing the next day because it felt like the first skippable wrestling card in like two months
