I have a question about this. Does this mean we automatically get a point for every team we correctly guessed didn’t trade up or down? Or does this match the team up with the PLAYER and not necessarily draft position,

i.e. say the Giants traded up to pick 4 for McCarthy.

Do you get 1 point for being correct that the Giants took McCarthy but you thought they’d do that at 6 not trade up to 4 or whatever. And then if you had a Daniels going pick 4 instead you’d get 2 points for pick 4 for getting the position right?

this is sorta complicated haha. Like, for the 2 point rule - what if you’re right that the Giants were taking a QB but wrong that it was at 6 and wrong that it was Daniels? Do you get 2 points cause they still took a QB, or 0 points?

I feel like because of trades and position ambiguity for some players it’s so hard to consistently score this lol

If we were making it more clear cut I would suggest:

1 point for matching team and position drafted
2 points for matching player drafted and draft slot (I.e. if you guessed Daniels at 4 and you’re right, you get these points regardless of which team took him)
3 points for matching team and player drafted

plus, BONUS:
5 points for correctly predicting a trade - team, draft pick, and player

 

I think each point should be worth 1 dollar

 

And to make positions clear cut:

-Call all DTs IDL
-Call all linemen that can’t play tackle IOL (Graham Barton for example)
-Call all linemen that can play tackle T (including Fuaga for example, who might end up as a guard)
-If a DE is drafted to play inside on a 3-4, that’s IDL
-If a DE is drafted to play outside on a 3-4 or outside on a 4-3 that’s EDGE
-If a LB is drafted to play outside on a 3-4, that’s EDGE
