actually no i don't know why i said that, probably because it was 723am. It's almost always The except on a few early albums and the tell is people not using it and saying "I don't like Grateful Dead" or whatever. pretty shameful of me

 

Phish is fun because it's never The unless you're in it and then you say The Phish sometimes either ironically or in reference to a time they were intro'd incorrectly as "The Phish from Vermont," although people were already saying it ironically when that happened. The Dead and Phish are both fun because you can look through old usenet archives and look at contemporary posts and do social history about it

 

on spotify, they are called The Goo Goo Dolls and I don't think I've ever heard anyone say it that way.

My senior year of high school, I thought this band was very cool and fun and whatnot. Haven’t listened in years, but I bet that one song of theirs, chorus of something or other, would still hit (in a nostalgic way), lol.

Remember the band A Plea For Purging also being in that space to some extent. Also, Becoming the Archetype, but that one I bet has actually aged quite well?

On that note (and this is a good opinion), I hate places that are “Object” & “Object,” like Cork & Cleaver, Rag & Bone, Bowl & Basket.

 

Restaurant naming is ruthless. What is even a good one? Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse? The Red Lobster? Kitchen Mouse? Sbubby?
