The thing with Jack is that he can go in the ring. That was never in question for him. But yeah, his heel shit was not fleshed out and needed a lot of work. He was able to do the basis in NJPW which saves the growing pain for weekly AEW.

 

They basically gave him a more cartoony version of MJF’s gimmick while MJF was still a heel. It was also right after he flopped as a babyface in a feud against a top heel here Sammy Guevara got cheered over him. Time away was definitely needed.

 

Plus hes the CM Punk dude now. Which i’m into lol.

so, it looks like TNA has abandoned the Hardy storyline? lol. the tapings featured Josh Alexander winning the number one contendership and Nemeth continuing to feud w the system. no mention of or appearance from Hardy, and this is all the TV to the next special.
