I got Team Sleep, Collective Soul and Filter from Darkside. Pretty easy.

Although I really want Offspring, I can’t bring myself to buy a picture disc.

 

Tried to get Poppy - 'EAT' off Newbury Comics, got it in my cart, had to update the address, and by the time I'd done that it'd sold out. Damn.

 

Whoever mentioned Darkside, thank you! I managed to get a copy of Collective Soul there before they sold out. Seeing the $60-$99+ prices on ebay really concerned me!

 

Darkside are great. About 45 minutes away from me but I mostly order online from them.

 

Nabbed Sum 41, Unwritten Law and At the Drive In from Le Noise!

Still no luck with Death Cab and Laufey.

If anyone sees The Japanese House lemme know, it's for my buddy. There was one at Yellow Dog discs in SC but I was more concerned looking for my stuff haha.

 

Damn, Darkside really came through. They had everything, at least for a moment. I scored the Noah/Olivia single and another copy of The 1975 for a friend (after spending too much for my own yesterday thinking there was zero chance I’d get it.)

I’d already ordered Filter from Newbury after striking out at Rough Trade.

 

Trying to get Paramore/David Byrne is hell

 

I've been on a bit of a hiatus, both due to space constraints and some personal reflection about my spending habits. I'd been going in weekly, sometimes twice, and it was getting out of hand. So, it was definitely weird going in again yesterday. I did manage to get almost everything I wanted, and I think I just successfully got Sisters of Mercy online. So, overall not a bad RSD.

 

Anyone see that Death Cab RSD listed anywhere online?

Rounded out my list with the Kaoru Inoue LP I missed yesterday and picked up some used CDs while I was at it. Pretty successful RSD this year.

 

Its selling for over $300 now, which saddens/angers Mr. For such a well known bad you figured there'd be more than 2500 copies.

I had 8 browsers opened frantically checking all of them.

This is like when I missed the live w/ Magik Magik when it first dropped ten years ago... Then they released it again a few years back!

 

Yeah, Death Cab and the Paramore/Byrne split are gonna be impossible to get. Incredibly low pressings for each.

Paramore/Byrne was up on Newbury right at 8am but I figured it'd go quick.

As per usual my wallet is feeling it this weekend... Successful RSD though I'm bummed at missing Laufey and Death Cab.

I almost bought the Mudhoney Reprise set but I already got the Black Breath box set.

 

Newbury inflating all their RSD prices. Tale as old as time.

I feel like this is becoming a common practice. I got an email from Universal Music Canada the other day saying they put up 18 copies of Lana Del Rey's recent album with the alt cover. Only for 100 cdn!! Sold out in a heartbeat and still cheaper than discogs but pretty lame for a major label.

 

everything from this weekend, all sleeved and added to the collection. still lucky to have gotten the two Paramore releases. it was a pain in the ass trying to sleeve Taylor.
