They were amazing as usual. I talked to John after the show and he said new album should be out Q4 this year.

Sun June and Sinai Vessel were awesome too. Great show all around!

 

The line “you’re a fuckin baby but your pain is valid too” is so damn infectious

 

Oh yeah, threw that one into the lexicon pretty much immediately lol. My wife and I say it to each other all the time

 

I love “Air Drumming” but that creme fresh line is so bad haha

 

I love all of John's awkward references

 

I feel like a Wild Pink/Hovvdy tour or collab would be really cool.

 

That’d be cool, but even as much I love Hovvdy I really hope this band breaks out of the “emo” scene and is mentioned alongside bigger “indie” names

 

Made a thread for that Wyatt C Louis record. The song with John is great and all of the other pre-release tracks are just as good

sure, but the most recent three have similar elements. everything pre yolk sounds like a totally different band

 

My favorite Wild Pink song is a pre-Yolk song, "4th of July".

 

I see what you mean… its got a bit more of a slowcore vibe but don’t really agree it sounds like a totally different band. Either way it doesn’t matter bc it’s still a fantastic Wild Pink album

YITF and ABLL are very special records to me. I didn’t respond much to ILYSM unfortunately, not sure why. I should revisit it, but it felt like a bit of a letdown. I know a contingent of people really love it.
