At some point it feels like exploiting her fans, but people can spend their money as they see fit. Definitely enjoying this album more than Midnights.

 

She knows that her fanbase will eat it up and buy whatever copies they need while the casuals will still stream the full version.

 

I mean, that is absolutely exploitation. Either let them buy standard vs deluxe from the start or let them add to their original purchase. She knows exactly what she is doing and it is gross.

I have a 3 hour drive today so I appreciate she's given me something to listen to for almost the entire drive

I guess I don't feel like I've gotten an overabundance of taylor music that I can't keep up. Her traditional albums have enough time between them to not feel crowded imo. The re-releases i listen to once typically and then just save the vault tracks I like which isn't even usually all of them. Taylor fatigue for me has been real since like 2008 so I have learned to avoid a lot of her discourse/social media/press tours. And it feels like the bigger she gets she does less press so that's gotten easier. I actually enjoy she's been promoting multiple releases at a time lately so the radio will play a mix of her singles over and over instead of just one constantly that I tire of.

It has gotten weird though because I feel like I have to be like yeah I'm a fan but not a swiftie because people just assume being a fan means like full on stan mode. But even that's easy. I'm just like yeah i like her a normal amount I think

 

Her fanbase is not using iTunes…because no one is using iTunes…

 

I would rather argue the other side of the physical media discussion - it's wasteful as hell. But she's shown herself to be someone who doesn't care about that much at all with her behaviors so I'm not surprised.
