I haven’t listened to this, but the reactions in here so far are exactly what I was expecting based on this rollout and the vibe surrounding the record. My hopes are not overly high for this one

 

halfway through. i absolutely love the production. the lyrics are incredibly wordy and will probably be a turnoff for a lot of listeners. definitely gonna be less-accessible than others. there's a lot to chew on here that i enjoy so far.

 

I think my wife will love this, she was hoping for a slow wordy album

 

It's the first of hers that I would call a headphones album.

 

"But Daddy, I Love Him" is my favourite so far.

I just don’t understand how you don’t miss me in the Black Dog when someone plays the starting line and you jump up but she’s too young to know this song

 

yeah, that's how i'm approaching it right now. some of it is kinda bombastic, but it really sounds good. anyone have a running count of how many times she says fuck in Down Bad?

Some of the lyrics are clunky but that’s nothing new. So far I’m really enjoying this.

 

Taylor needs to do a whole album with Florence. This is a highlight.

so much of this album reads as being about Matty Healy to me lol.

 

"loml" and "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart" is my favourite part of the album.

 

Smallest Man is Matty for sure lol

 

Ehhh this is in a similar vein to Midnights for me a few songs in. Just not my vibe unfortunately compared to folklore / evermore and her old stuff.

Will keep going though.

 

I need to hear that TSL reference asap.

 

So…it’s fine. I said it earlier but she needs to move on from Jack. He brings nothing to the table now.

I need lyrics. It’s wordy. It’s emotional.

 

Jack has some of the coolest production on here. He brings what Taylor is looking for probably. I doubt she wanted something different and this is all he could do.

 

The strongest songs are Aaron’s.

 

Jack has some strong moments here as it goes on but she also should still use him less going forward.

 

this is folklore/evermore with more introspective lyricism and fed through a ton of synths.

 

The first two songs here (all I've heard so far) sound way more "late night vibes" to me than anything on Midnights. Should have saved the album title Taylor!
