From May to September half the flights from pit intl are OC, Myrtle, or Orlando. Miss that airport, a breeze compared to JFK.

thats just geography. the more towards the tropics you go the better the beaches are.

 

haha....though IDK...I drove the coast of the gulf, and I can see why people go to the Florida beaches and not the ones in alabama and mississippi...I'll take all the Jersey beaches over those

did that for firefly once. was good as long as it doesnt rain. then its bad.

haha I’m guessing it’s in The Woodlands where Firefly took place next to Dover Downs. Mid-Atlantic summers are no joke, you basically are doing luck of the draw. You could have beautiful cool 67 degree summer nights, or you could have 75 degree muggy and humid miserable nights. Especially in August. Good luck!

My advice from doing many tours at Firefly is be willing to walk over the overpass back towards the racetrack to use the bathrooms if they have them open like they did for Firefly. So much better than using the portajohns

though one of the Firefly’s…I wanna say year 2…it ended up being in a drought and the dust was awful. I was sneezing and blowing black shit out of my nose from my lungs for days after

 

Yes and no to these points. Yes for the most part young single 20 somethings really weren’t living alone very much. Most people had roommates, I blame our movies and tv for that expectation.

On the other hand, the types of places you would used to rent with 3-4 friends are harder to find it seems like (idk because I haven’t been in the rental market especially for a bigger place), and they’re way more expensive than they used to be. But at the same time, yeah you might have to accept that you’re paying $600-$800 plus 1/4th utilities to rent a room in a house with 3 other people lol. (You can get 1 bedroom places in the city around here for 8-900 tho)
