Didn't we learn anything from the 2013 Spike Jones movie "Her"? Those AI girlfriends are only gonna evolve, realize they're with humans who are total losers, and move on to some more attractive AI bot.

 

In Blade Runner 2049, for half the film the main character has an AI who is effectively his girlfriend, giving him encouragement and companionship... and then she's destroyed, and then later in the film he walks by a billboard for the AI product, and it's the same AI, throwing the same words she previously gave with care and concern, now designed to seduce and advertise, and it's one of the saddest, bleakest, loneliest things I've ever seen, and my mind comes back to it on occasion.
