just got an mlb at bat app notification that someone named whitey herzog died and i thought it said werner herzog and i was like wtf why is mlb the one to tell me werner herzog died and then i got sad that he died then realized i read it wrong from the start so its nobodys fault but my own

In my job, it's required sometimes. I'm the one gatekeeper for what goes up on the website, or promoted publicly, in a company with a culture that has established "do whatever you want, standards don't matter." So I try to be nice and kind and considerate when telling people "no, that isn't going up on the site." But at some point I have to slap people around.
