Trump has always at least signaled he's not for total bans, but at the same time I don't think he'll give a shit about stopping states from doing them tbh

  4. but based on that tweet the reverse is also true, he doesn’t seem to give a shit about stopping states from allowing abortion either. don’t get me wrong it’s morally basically the same but seems like it could make a material difference. not that there’s a mainline gop presidential candidate lol

Yeah, the last time I got the notice was 2 years ago maybe? And my boss was like, 'oh no sweat, we can get you out of that.' and I was like, no way, I'm dying to do this.

  6. i hadn’t read all the replies - i definitely have qualifiers you don’t haha. the one i got pulled for in college involved CSA so i was definitely glad to be out of there. violent stuff i probably would be wary about at the very least. i’m not super queasy but im definitely not a crime reporter either lol

Yeah I think Trump is smart enough to see that the abortion issue is crushing them and they can't be for total bans, and the other MAGA candidates that just do what he says will follow along. But then you'll probably just get like 6 week bans like Florida or whatever where it's basically the same thing anyway. A good strategy to muddy the message Dems will have to put out there where they can't just say "Repub candidate wants to ban abortion" which is great simple messaging that everyone can understand vs. "Repub candidate wants to ban abortion at 6 weeks which is really the same thing as a total ban because women don't even know they're pregnant at 6 weeks often" and what not. And Trump probably knows he can do this because the Evangelical votes he might lose over it all live in states that will be red anyway for the most part.

For all I know, it could be a beyond boring civil case or some shit. My co-worker just told me she had to do a civil case once and it was like, a laundromat getting sued, haha.

I left the newspaper business 13 years ago, but in my 4 years of doing some of the crime/breaking news stuff, I saw some pretty fucked up shit. Literally had to go to a murder scene my first night on the job in 2007, and several more after that and then some other messed up stuff throughout the years. I was very glad to get out of journalism when I did.

  10. yeah exactly, I would be such a good juror on a white collar crime case or something. i would also love to do jury nullification on a drug charge or something.

Basically at this point I think Maga would do anything to make rinos look dumb lol

And jury duty would have stressed me out too much responsibility thankfully I was dismissed after like 3 hours

Insurance companies are super cute like how they’re incentivized to deny claims but take your money for years and if you do successfully get a claim through they raise your rates or just drop you altogether. Glad advertising has made them so lovable though

How are they going to find 12 people who have no prior opinion of Trump? Seems impossible.
