    I ask this as someone with a ton of food allergies. Do you have a gluten allergy or intolerance?

    he has a gluten allergy but he is also extremely intolerant, unsure what the two have in common though.

    Having a good day, started it off with homemade gluten free cinnamon rolls and icing, did 2 miles during lunch break, tomato basil soup for lunch and now finishing out the work day

    My wife has celiacs and tbh I just assume I do as well. I haven't gotten tested but I have all the symptoms/reactions 100% of the time and my wife (best nurse in Georgia) and PCP (pretty okay) were both like "well you could just stop eating gluten now or spend all that money and time to get told to stop eating gluten".

    nah I have an iron stomach, my partner does and she makes all that stuff, gluten free is surprisingly good

    Making good gluten free meals isn’t that hard

    but making gluten free bread or other dough-rising stuff that actually tastes good is really hard. There are gluten free bakeries that do bread and pastries really well and there are like 1 or 2 grocery store common brands that make great gluten free pasta, but that stuff can be hard to find, and it’s the minority. Most GF bread-pastry-pasta related stuff is not made well

    Really depends on the brand and what they make it out of. Barilla makes gluten free pasta that boils exactly how it should and gets the texture pretty close to al-dente regular pasta

    Yeah that’s what I’m saying I know Barilla is like one of the cheaper and more mainstream brands but their GF pasta gets the texture pretty damn close

    I should say digital mad men with like 82% less sexual harassment. We have a vendor we work with who sexually assaulted an employee, he was convicted and everything, and our CMO is insistent on working with him still. It's fucking gross.

    & Matt has let me try a bite of pastries/donuts he bought from Hell Yeah Gluten Free in Atlanta and from Sweet Crimes in DC. Thing about gluten free is, since most restaurants are still way behind, the ones who dedicate themselves to gluten free are really fuckin good and stand out cause it’s a pretty untapped market. Both of those are GF bakeries that take a ton of pride in it and are better than a lot of regular bakeries

    Many restaurants claim to have gluten free stuff but still fry everything in the same fryer and don’t have a GF pasta or a GF bread option and only have a few options they can eat. Even with an intolerance, very small cross contaminated traces of gluten can lead to bad bathroom trips the rest of the evening, restaurants should take it more seriously

    My sister in law is gluten free by choice and it’s the most irritating part of family gatherings. She just always talks about how she “can’t eat gluten”. And I’m all like “no, you can. You choose not to. I CANT eat peanut butter because that would actually kill me.”
