Anyone in the DFW area that can recommend some good shops? I'm moving there at the end of the month and wanna know if there's any places in the area. I know there's CD Warehouse 817 cuz I've bought a decent amount off discogs in the past but that's all I know.

I visited this place when I went to so what fest a couple years ago, it’s massive! You could easily spend a couple hours in there

As said above Josey is great. Also love Red Zeppelin in McKinney. Cool little independent shop on the downtown square.

they were working with Rick Rubin and were supposed to become a huge band. Such a weird alt history

Another major label casualty. Their big major label debut never actually got released although it was briefly leaked. I KNOW I've heard it but can find zero evidence of it online.

Apparently the "sticker price" at their shows is $50 each...

We reach for the longest shadow

Wait, the band that waxed poetic about always being that little underground band playing basements and their DIY ethos is selling a 7" for $50?

    lol

EDIT: alright looked at the post, signed 12" is not terrible for that money... but still.

I think they know that people are going to buy them and immediately flip them on Discogs.

    Die rad.

What's everyone hoping to score this Saturday?
Im keeping it short this year; Sleater Kinney, HIM, Pixies, Team Sleep. Interested in the new Pearl Jam album, but want to hear it first before jumping the $45 gun. Plus there are like 14 variants so I could care less.
Anything you think will be hard to get?

Not going to stand in line this year for RSD, but I’m going to go when the store opens because they do a separate line outside for RSD releases, so the store is basically empty when they open and they always have fire used stuff on RSD.

is it the same for you? Prestigious

I'm looking for The Japanese House, Petey, Paramore/David Byrne, and the standalone Re: This Is Why. Will probably convince myself to buy The 1975 while I'm waiting in line.

Team Sleep, Collective Soul, Filter and Unwritten Law. All RSD First Releases so not too concerned about missing out.

I hope we get a non-picture disc Offspring - Splinter release.
