  2. This is fucking crazy, really never thought it would happen. And it's really, really fucking good. Definitely feels like a midpoint between Common Existence and No Devolucion in the best way. I hope there's no bad blood with the members who weren't involved with this one? Have not read the Culture piece yet

I've listened to this song way too many times. No notes, love everything about it.

I don't think they would have moved forward with this song and have tried writing if there wasn't any bad blood.

  9. I think they've just moved on but someone will correct me if I'm mistaken

Interviews with Geoff are great as always but man I wish there was an interviewer that would dig more into his ACBTLD - ND thoughts haha. Like we've heard his feelings about FC and War sooooooo much now

  12. that heavy bridge part sounds so out of place and like butt. they should have left that out... fine song though overall.

  13. I wasn't expecting it, and I think it's perfect. The heavy part.

they should never bury Geoff's voice in the mix again. he sounds *incredible* during the 2nd verse. kinda wish we could get a new mix of ACBTLD someday. i know it was intentional to make a 'wall of sound' back in 2006, but man, those are great songs with every component just utterly crushed in the mix.

I like the mix on this song. Stu's production really fits the sound of this band well. I love ACBTLD but I think it could have been ever better with a mix like this.

Seriously it is so awesome. Never thought it would happen but so glad it did! It sounds fresh but familiar.

    Me too!

Yeah the artwork is really cool.

I loved the songs and felt like they could have really shined with more of a raw mix. The difference between the studio and live versions is night and day. I would really like to hear a different studio mix of the Lovesong Writer. It is one of my favorite songs by them and I love the live version of it so much. I mean I would even be happy hearing the Signals version of it again. That was an amazing moment to watch.

People couldn’t appreciate Dave Fridmann’s style then and they can’t appreciate it now I guess. Even Common Existence has such a simultaneously raw and atmospheric feeling I’ve still never quit heard anything else like it it’s the most unique sounding album the genre has ever produced

  22. Yeah, I really love the way Common Existence in particular sounds and I know that's not a very popular opinion.

I promise I am not hating. I actually feel like Dave Fridmann got the formula down on Common Existence. The title track is in my top 3 Thursday songs all time, as is the Lovesong Writer. I know it isn't relevant to this discussion but the other song is Tomorrow, I'll Be You.

I love the production on ACBTLD, like Into the Blinding Light is fucking orgasmic with how it absolutely batters the listener at the end
