29-30 minute Cape Cod jam when it wrapped. VW just left the stage so I’d presume that’s the end of the sit in unless they come back for the encore.

 

i....was not that impressed lol.

surprised to see that they jam some songs in their performances, ezra did not look that comfortable up there.

 

The clavient jam was fun but yeah, a little repetitive. I am all for VW leaning more into jam but when you put them up with a band that’s a true jam band it’s gonna show.

 

that's true haha - and honestly props to both them and goose. that'd be terrifying being up there with new people and having to improvise with them in front of a jam crowd.

 

Jam fans are wildly judgmental. I like jam music plenty (I’ve seen Phish 109 times) but they are simultaneously very open and close minded, the latter especially with non-jam music. It has burnt me out on the scene pretty badly.

The line between ironic trolling and sincere shitiness has gotten way too blurred. Add in general entitlement, inferiority complex around the scene, mental illness, and drugs…yeah it’s a mess haha.

 

This reminds me, I love Goose’s cover of 2021 and need to get back into playing it as regularly as I used to

 

very strange to have an entire band sit in and play their own songs lol

 

The Goose x Trey Anastasio Band tour was all about this. It was like...3 drummers, 2 bassists, a bunch of guitarists, horns. I thought it sounded bad to be honest haha.

At the end of their Coachella set they had Paris Hilton and Abraham Lincoln come out to play cornhole

This feels more like a headphones record for me at the moment so I’m not planning to snag vinyl at moment.
