right? plus 3 out of the 4 members have been at it since the beginning which is awesome to see! usually bands from this era have one or none OG members haha

  4. I saw them a few years back at a local bar/club and they absolutely killed it. Definitely go catch them if you get a chance.

Real happy they're still touring and putting out music, even if new albums from them are like unicorns.

I’ve been a long time fan of theirs. ANThology was the album I credit with pulling me into hard rock and heavier music when I was around ten years old. I have nothing but love for these guys and the fact that we’re getting anything from them in 2024 is an absolute gift.

I remember playing Kingdom Hearts in my bedroom. Then driveing to my high school's Friday night 8 man football game blasting ANThology. So good.

Rubber Mallet is randomly in my head way more often than a lot of other songs in my collective conscience - for what its worth.

Just received my vinyl today and immediately spun it.

This is definitely their best record in a while but it’s very top heavy IMO. The run of The Wrong Things to So Cold is all solid gold AAF but the later half has some hits and some misses with the title/closing track being meh on execution.

Overall loved this record and hope the guys get some good traction on this album cycle!

Good to know. What album of theirs is this most similar to? I think it’s awesome they’re sending out preorders so early.

It’s a mix of Anthology and Always & Forever in my opinion. I personally love The Wrong Things, Last dAntz, and Storms Over the most. No. 1 is cool too!

My preorder came with a nice small print signed by the dudes and the packaging is nice/sturdy so I would recommend preordering if you were considering it! Love that I got this album pretty much 3 weeks early :)

Got my pre-order a week or two ago. I really like this album - I can't believe I am listening to a new AAF album in 2024. It's a solid return to form for them. I appreciate the darker, more intense songs on here like "The Wrong Things" and "What Am I Doing". Maybe a hot take, but I think the end of the album is a little lazy. Their cover of "Everything She Wants" is unnecessary and the title track seems like a half-baked demo in my opinion. It's almost like they had nine songs written and slapped those two on at the end to have a whole album.

All that aside, I am glad AAF is still making music and I hope they keep going!

Definitely agree that this is a great album that ends kind of on a weak note.

In some ways, this is the best album of the band's career. I am so proud of them. I'm tearing up listen to some of these songs. So much adversity these guys have been through during their entire existence as a band, and they really pulled this album off.

Setlists are gonna be interesting because so many of these new songs should be staples, but so is more than half of ANThology, and then you got a couple from TruANT, Up In The Attic, and even Always & Forever. This album may bump them back to headliner status, at least for a tour or two I hope.

There was an Instagram video of Dryden going for a walk and singing that part in the title track where he names off every AAF album. It was cool to hear it on the album after having seen it first on the Instagram.

It's probably more accurate that they'd just been working on the album for a long time as that cover originally dropped four years ago and they even did a video.
