Need some car help, guys. Gonna probably be buying a new car in the next month and need some input. I’m looking for a compact/midsize SUV. I have a 2012 Ford Escape but don’t want to go smaller and don’t necessarily need anything much bigger.

The RAV-4’s have had my eye but I just found out Volkswagen is doing 0% APR for 60 months on the 2024 Tiguans and that’s tempting. Do any of you have input on these or any make/model that’s similar?

 

I started leasing a RAV4 a year ago and absolutely love it! Will plan to buy it out after my lease ends

 

I have a 2020 Kia Sportage S and I love it. No issues in 4 years.

My MIL has a newer RAV and she also loves it.

 

Volkswagens will break down often

 

My buddy has a rav 4 and loves it. My family had good experiences with Toyotas.

 

Absolutely RAV4 times one million. Not only is it just a far superior vehicle - you can also get any shop to work on it, should you need any non-dealer-covered servicing. VW’s are riddled with issues and are specialty shop for anything beyond basic servicing. No disrespect to VW owners here but after like 12 years of running a shop I cannot undersell how much more a Toyota offers someone than a VW.

Yeah. My mom's had a Rav4 for a few years and loves it and my dad just got the hybrid version.

For clarity - I manage a shop with the assumption and impending ownership of it. I never liked cars and still sort of hate them but I fell into this with a business background and now, thanks to family ties, I’m kind of obligated to take this thing over.

 

I did ten years managing a bicycle shop prior to this and tried to purchase a shop like seven years ago. I can’t rule out finding a way back to that at some point but for now I’m a… car guy…
