As for Buffalo's incentive I think it's just "our hand is forced by Diggs" in the end

I wanna try and figure out the logic of it all but I can't beyond that

 

Yeah they were very desperate to get rid of him despite WR already being one of their biggest needs. That's also very concerning

 

I think either he quietly forced it or they see his decline happening or a part of each

I do think he ends up the Texans #2 in skill this upcoming season if not #3 and this is "fill out the offense to be good enough to be a champion", not "get a #1 WR"

 

What I love about this current Texans offense is that it's clearly built for Stroud to be the star. It reminds me of past MVP's offenses where there's not one specific player that sounds the alarm and the QB just slices and dices with everyone, it's very well rounded.

A LOT bigger question marks about the defense right now and we'll see about that, I like the Hunter move but I still worry about the interior

 

The trade is definitely concerning from the perspective that the Bills were clearly dying to move on from him that they didn’t even consider voiding the rest of his contract so he just hit free agency next year

But the Texans actually have good vibes in that building right now, whereas the Bills have not and do not, so I think it’s a good move for the Texans

 

Nico and Tank are good enough where Diggs can be your WR3 and that’s SICK

 

I think this kinda answers itself too, they got a 2025 2nd and didn't have to worry about losing the comp pick from doing the Texans actions, they got something out of it when he wanted out

I just think when it comes to big picture of who their other WRs are it's more concerning for sure

If they dont move back up theres alot of local mocks drafting Fiske, and maybe even Sweat still

Fiske/Sweat combo, or Kris Jenkins even.. itll be interesting.

 

I'm more excited to follow this draft than most drafts in the past several years

 

Yeah like I've said I loved the move initially. It being a one year rental now makes me like it a lot less.

 

much less scared of Fiske in this situation than I am Sweat, but I do love Fiske and in general have him above Sweat.

 

There were a lot of very weird moves from the Texans that all led to this result and I'm VERY curious if we'll see the Bills big result soon as well, if they'll have their moment where it feels less like a rebuild and like "oh okay they're still here"

Worthy alone is an enormous concern

 

It's honestly humanly possible for the Texans to still scoop up Worthy if people don't buy the hype lmao

I'm sure people are buying in to Worthy though, but like SOME of these WRs have to fall and then you can have all kinds of fun packages

 

Allen kept them afloat last year when Diggs pretty much disappeared the last 2 months of the season lol

 

But now they don’t have Gabe Davis either
