Doesn't this just support the opposite though? I'm saying they would be billed 2nd here also, like at Lolla... AND they were way more currently popular in 2010 than now

I don't think Green Day in 2016 is big enough of a reason to headline Coachella. But maybe they take a risk with them.

I honestly think they probably just haven't announced an LA date because they're gonna play Almost Acoustic Christmas or something. They just really aren't a Coachella band

I meant they were the 2nd headliner overall, not 2nd billed for their day. The headliners that year were Lady Gaga-Green Day-Soundgarden-Arcade Fire-The Strokes

Radiohead seems even more likely to me now. In an AMA on Reddit with the guys who put on Gov Ball they said that Radiohead is going to be stateside in spring so their schedule doesn't allow them to play Gov Ball

Never been to Cali before, curious about making a trip out for this...or maybe to Lolla depending on the lineup.

Which major US festival does everyone prefer?

I've been to Coachella, FYF, Outside Lands and Gov Ball. Lineup is very important but ignoring that Coachella was the best festival BY FAR

I've only been to Coachella, but it's the best. Is that fair? Sure.

Everyone loves things for different reasons, but this is my bid for Coachella as a festival

I have gone 7 times and never had a bad experience. I love that I can camp right next to the festival with my friends, eat and drink and play games in the morning, then go see music in the afternoon. We almost all go in at different times and meet up depending on who we want to see and how early we want to go in, and if I want to see someone at 12 and no one else to 3, I can go back to camp and hang out more between sets.

I love the general attitude of the festival, I love getting in line for camping and everyone pulls out cans of shitty beer to enjoy as we drive in to our spot, I love the music that's going all day from different sites and neighbors stopping by/making new friends.

I woudl complain about nothing when it comes to the stage set up, I have always been able to see everyone I want to from a very reasonable distance. Other than headliners, every set allows you to cruise as close or far as you want without any annoyance. For headliners you have to plan ahead a set or two, but then you are completely fine if you do so.

The food options are bonkers, absolutely outstanding with some of L.A.'s best doing pop up shops, and I love beer so with the recent Craft Beer tent I am sold forever.

It's the closest to me, so it's unfair to any other festivals, but fuck if Coachella isn't a home away from home every year. It's this crazy utopia that exists once a year and I wish could last longer

That was great, @irthesteve. I haven't been to Coachella since 2014 but I'm going this year and I can't be more excited! If anyone from chorus wants to meet up I'm down, wk 2

Very tempting guys. Beer and music are two of my passions lol

    Maybe so, maybe not.

Went 2013, 2014, and 2015 but skipped last year. Have a ticket for this year...so tempting. I miss it!

Trying to decide if I should get tickets to this this year. Very tempted to purchase 2 VIP tickets and hotel package right now but never been out there and not sure what to expect out of something like this

If Radiohead is headlining then I would be even more stoked

It's an amazing experience, by far my favorite festival. Buuuut I'd wait for the lineup if I were you

Regina Spektor basically confirmed with those 2017 tour dates.

Take all of it with a huge grain of salt, as always, but some interesting things happened. A very legit looking fake lineup made the rounds on twitter recently, and while that happens every year, a few artists seemed to accidentally confirm themselves as going due to it. For example, Kiiara said in a deleted tweet that she wasn't upset Coachella spelled her name wrong. But MORE importantly, Francis and the Lights posted (and quickly deleted) this post

which I take as Francis accidentally confirmed himself at the least. He's close with Chance so that could be an accidental confirmation there, and hell if he knows more (probably not) the others could be too

If that Francis tweet is real I'd die of happiness. But I'm taking it with a grain of salt since from my understanding Frank Ocean will not be at Coachella. Both him and Bon Iver are only playing 2017 US fests that offer them headlining spots, and coachella didn't want either as a headliner, only sub.

Keep in mind the headline-only thing is a rumor. I hope. Those two are some of my favorite artists lol

But hey like three weeks until lineup!

the tweet itself did happen, what it means is certainly up for debate

  25. Drewski

    Maybe so, maybe not.

Random but...does anyone need a 2016 poster? Has been in the tube since I received it. Didn't end up going last year so I have no sentimental value for it.
