Been vibing with some GHOSTBEEF today:

 

Two new Woo albums came out today, and if you don't know them, they're two brothers and inhabit this incredible sound I don't think I've heard literally anywhere else. Very weird but at the same time strangely approachable, like something familiar heard while dreaming. A mix of folktronica, fourth-world ambient, and jazz.

(highly rec going back and also checking their older work if you're unfamiliar)

Ambient fourth-world jazz goodness. If you liked the Andre 3000 album, the Greg Foat/Gigi Masin album, and/or Jon Hassell, Steve Roach, Harold Budd vibes, check this out.

 

Update: I love it, definitely leaning more into the emo side of emo ambient and it's claire so it's real good

 

On some days, La Bella Vista by Harold Budd is my favourite album in the world.

 

Will throw it on today :)

 

I still haven't listened to that one yet, and looks like it's not on streaming. Been working through his discography so I'll prioritize that one. My favorites so far are The Pavilion of Dreams, The White Arcades, and Avalon Sutra.
