I get that they still had no depth at slot corner, aside from Tyler Hall, whom they signed to a cheap one-year deal this offseason, but this just ain’t it. I like Maddox as a player and I’ve only heard good things about his presence in the locker room, but he’s dealt with SO many injuries over the course of his career. Tough to bank on him playing even half of the season

I can absolutely see them trading up for a corner. I just question how far they will want to move up. Perhaps with the Broncos?

Even if that happens, it makes the recent investments in Slay, Bradberry, and Ringo look worse. Not that they should subscribe to the sink cost fallacy because Howie usually doesn’t, but it’s still tough to ignore those moves
