Friend in the group chat is complaining that they lost their new drivers license they a few days ago.

what’s annoying is that they didn’t immediately replace their old one with it so now they’re mad they can’t find it and mad that we’re giving them shit about being an idiot lol

“ah yes, here is my new license that already has a spot in my wallet where my current one is. I could easily just swap these out and be done with this but instead I guess I will put the new license in a pillow case, or the trash can, or the refrigerator or…”

It’s honestly more than a tiny annoyance but I don’t wanna post/find the vent thread so just gonna post here.

I’ve spent the majority of the last 2+ work days doing nothing but trying to catch up on entering orders and still somehow have 60+ unread emails. It’s so goddamn frustrating especially when I’m used to ending each day with maybe 5 unread emails so seeing such a big number (to me) and knowing I’ve worked all goddamn day two days straight to whittle it down and see it go nowhere because other bullshit I get emailed about is driving me nuts.

manager: let me know if you need someone to help assist!

me: yes I need help for someone to assist

manager: ok maybe in like 5-6 months you can show someone for a half hour how they can help.

At work a small group of us will order lunch sometimes and I usually pay (each person then gives me cash or Apple Cash), put in the order and pick it up. Once we decide where to eat, someone will send a link to the menu, and usually the menus contain the prices, yet almost everyone ends up asking me what they owe. You have the menu, you looked at it to pick what you want, figure it out yourself! If you ask me I’m gonna add a couple bucks to it for the hassle and doing all the work and if you’re not gonna check if I’m right then that’s on you lol

 

I have a very exciting band interview this week that keeps getting pushed back relatively last minute (not their fault) and it's just prolonging my anxiety for the interview

I think I'm getting called into an HR meeting for a complaint against someone I work with who almost definitely said something shitty to a coworker (not sexual) but who otherwise has been 110% more helpful and easier to work with than the coworker he said it to. Ugh

Like I said, he almost definitely said something rude to this co-worker (that may or may not have deserved it in less inappropriate language), but I also wasn't there to hear it and have zero interest in seeing someone I have seen bring genuine value to our workplace lose their job over a slip of the tongue. I don't know. I like to think I have good character, but the fact that I am wrestling with this so much makes me second guess myself and anxiety spiral.

 

we all make mistakes. if this wasn’t something typical of his character then I might try and see it that way. no one should lose their job for a bad moment like that idk

Then there's always the off-chance that HR is calling me in for something that ISN'T this. Idk. They said I wasn't in trouble and that they were investigating a complaint, so I'm like 95% sure this is it. Anxiety is a bitch.

 

Having to fill out performance reviews. No one wants to do them and no one wants to read them. You have an idea of how you think I’m doing, just tell me.

 

Losing internet all afternoon and my boss telling me I still have to use my time off for it even though there was a huge storm and I can't do anything about it

I asked my mom if she could pick me up to work (sprained ankle, can't drive) at her house tomorrow if I still don't have Internet, and she doesn't have power or Internet haha

Someone once again sat right beside me at the movies. I think I am cursed or something bc this is the third time this has happened in like 2 months and my theater is never busy for it to be necessary. These people gotta be stopped!! People take the assigned seating too literally. Just move over a seat!

 

Had this same thing happen to me a few weeks ago. Worst day of “vacation” I can remember.

My manager kept asking why I wouldn’t go in to the office to work (I live relatively close by) and I kept having to explain that I needed to trouble shoot a solution and/or go and get new hardware and then trouble shoot so I didn’t have to piss away another of vacation the following day and to trouble shoot and go exchange shit required me to be home to do those things.

 

Some lawn fertilizer company accidentally treated my lawn instead of my neighbors and I’m so mad!!! I fucking hate mowing and think grass is stupid. I want it to die not grow more lol
