Properly pleased with Newcastle's draw in the EFL. Hull or Leeds were going to be our best bet, so quite pleased with that.

Just have to hope now that expectation doesn't start messing with our league form. I can sort of see the club really deflating when we get knocked out. There's been an awful lot of noise from the local media saying that Newcastle are in this to win it (with a bit too much emphasis on the likelihood for my liking) this year, which is just idiotic when you look who is left.

That being said, it is nice to see us get into the later stages. A semi final appearance would be great.

 

Valdez getting the GWG is pretty poetic from a beauty of sports standpoint, gross from a statistics standpoint

 

The fact the goal was offsides sums up the game pretty well, too. Frei was immense.

 

Everton v West Ham is a sell out. Hopefully that's a good omen.
