Foundation is really good. Once it gets going it’s a top tier sci-fi show.

 

My wife and I would have watched it all if episodes 4 thru the rest would actually play on Hulu rather than giving us an error message every time. I had to end up torrenting that rest of the season.

 

I still can’t believe the boulder lost best supporting actor. I’ve never seen something so committed to a role.

 

127 Hours was great

 

I might have said this before but it’s funny that you don’t hear people say “I miss James Franco.” I really think his brother stepped in and we were like “Good enough and not a creep!”

Started watching earlier, new show from Steven Knight of Peaky Blinders set in 1981 Birmingham UK. First episode started off slow but by the end of it I had a much more clear picture and was hooked and intrigued.

 

Invasion is entertaining enough. I watched season one while sick and had nothing else to do. 1-5 were kinda boring, then season one got really good iirc. Enjoyed season two for what it is, too. It’s not on the same level as FAM, but few shows are.

 

FAM is on a whole different level. Not to say other shows are bad, it's just it set a pretty high bar.

Anyone happen to watch the new AMC show with Giancarlo Esposito - Parish?

Wondering if it's any good. Reviews are kind of all over the place.

 

When you notice that Pacific Rim just landed on Hulu

 

It was pretty awful. Dragged on far too long.

 

a guy at our local game store constantly talked about it. the only thing that intrigued me about it was seeing Rahul Kohli in the cast. fucking love his work with Mike Flanagan.

 

I might be the only one that watched it, but I just finished Expats and was quite taken with it. I was a fan of Lulu Wang's The Farewell, so I was interested to see what she did next and see her explore grief some more. Good performances from the main cast. Nicole Kidman continues to choose interesting TV roles.

Another show I'll add to the bucket of those I can't recommend to my friends because it's too slow and/or too sad lol.
