tbh I haven't listened to Masks enough to rank it, but the fact that I was so uninterested in listening to it after only a few listens has me putting it last

 

What’s really cool is the fact that everyone has wildly different rankings which I think speaks to how consistently great they’ve been.

I did not like this band until Black Mile.

 

Imagine hearing Pride and being like nah this band ain’t it.

It’s just the way that we cope.

 

I really don’t get putting black mile 1 or 2 and putting mmog last… to me they’re 1a and 1b but they’re similar enough in style that I don’t get loving one and disliking the other.

 

Love Black Mile, couldn't get into Million Masks but I also know I need to try again and it will probably eventually click

METN is untouchable though

But seriously, Black Mile I find to be an exciting album whereas MMOG just largely bores me. I feel like they’ve pushed it too far in that direction and taken all the fun out of it in the process. I can respect what they were going for and everything is well refined and produced but it just misses the mark for me.
