Every time I’ve ordered a show on Fite, I’ve had permanent access. That might be different with AEW though, but I don’t see why it would be. Even the BR App let me watch every show I’ve ordered since the very beginning of AEW.

 

yeah ive ordered all but two shows on Fite so far, but i was wondering if YouTube also let you hold on to them like that because of they do i might test it out for Dynasty

My god that’s dumb. I hate the UFC’s reliance on the Apex. It’s so dull and boring. Why just not have it at full sail?

 

as someone who just googled the Apex, it looks pretty cool, are we afraid UFC fans will show up and be dickheads or does it just look worse in action?

 

UFC events in there have felt lifeless. It can only hold a few hundred people so during UFC fights you can hear a pin drop and everything the coaches are saying. It feels like watching a practice and takes away from the “big fight feel” that the UFC and sports entertainment in general should be trying to preserve.

 

Portland gets Rampage in addition to Collision! I’m actually pretty excited about that since the last time we got a very watered down ROH that was similar to AEW Dark with tons of squash matches.

-swerve v takeshita was beast. takeshita is SO fucking good. i'd really love it if swerve can do something over the next few weeks that is a defacto BABYFACE moment because having dumb ass don callis glazing him on commentary only makes it more confusing. i'm fine with the tweener shit it usually doesn't bother me, but swerve is a fucking babyface bro let him act like one. idc if you have to turn his entire stable just do something

The show was sold out in Savannah. Would be weird to sell out the show and then move it to a place that holds a fraction of the audience

I love AEW, but using the dynamic pricing to charge $800 for ringside seats to a TV taping is not the best way to please your hardcore fans and actively discourages them from buying ticket until prices drop.

 

They’ve been running a lot of markets like that post-Takeover.

 

I truly want to see the decision process for shit like this to happen. Ticket sale revenue is such a minor factor these days compared to TV deal money. I don't see why you wouldn't just make extremely fair ticket prices from the rip, which is a GREAT OPTICS FOR A COMPANY, and that way you are filling up seats and also giving an opportunity for a wider demographic to come watch and hey perhaps expand your audience that has been the complete same since 2019 more or less.

 

Shibata’s theme helps my daughter fall asleep so I hope he gets more TV matches.

Another really strong Dynamite. I thought this was one brought down a little by the small/dull crowd, but still a really good night overall. Looks like they'll be contending with the same issue in Worcester next week.

Not a great night for Mercedes, though. She sounded listless and bored on commentary, and that crowd shot of people just standing with their arms crossed while the piped in "CEO" chant rang out during her entrance was rough.
